3 of the Best Books I’ve Ever Read

1.) The Light of Paris

This is one of my all-time favorites. The perspective shifts from Madeleine’s modern perspective to her grandmother’s 1920’s Parisian experience. Every other chapter the reader is taken from Jazz-Age to modern-day; following two young women in two very different times facing problems that are not all that different.

I’m all about perspective. I love the opportunity to view things from various perspectives and listen to different sides of things. Also, how fun is it to read about international life and travel in the early twentieth century?!

2.) The Rosie Project

This is one of those unique books that can change your whole outlook on life. Also, if you like this one, there is The Rosie Effect. I think there may be a third one out, too, but I have only read the first two. The Rosie Project involves a man on the autism spectrum who decides it is time to find a wife. He’s a very accomplished scientist, therefore, choosing a mate is a methodical and incredibly scientific process for him. It is a lovely and unique story to follow. Though some of the methods are unusual, trials of navigating love prove to remain relatively constant throughout various walks of life. Another fun fact: it’s based in Australia.

3.) Murder on the Orient Express

The title pretty much sums it all up. All I will say about this classic Agatha Christie mystery is that I started and finished it in about a night. I could not put it down! Plot twist after plot twist. Also, if you are one who enjoys reading the books before watching the movies, or if you’re afraid to watch the movie because you liked the book so much… I’ll just let you know that I personally was not disappointed by the movie.
